Need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life? During Spring Break is the perfect time to visit the peacefulness of the lake and forest. Come enjoy cooking your hot dogs over a winter campfire, making s’mores with the family and listening to the birds announcing the start of spring.

April

With the end of April and beginning of May, comes the spring. The ice on the lake thaws and the spring birds return in large numbers. The flowers begin to pop up from their winter slumber and the trees begin to bud.

With spring now in full bloom, this is the perfect time for fishing! Don’t have the right equipment, that’s alright we have it here. We have boats, canoe and kayaks to rent that all come with free use of life jackets while you are at the lake, for the entire family to use. We sell fishing licenses, fishing lures and line, and bait. Do you want to see a black bear? They are usually munching on dandelions on the sides of the highway this time of the year.
